Introduction to Process Work

Change and Unchangeable

FOUR WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM

Things happen for a reason

Join us for this four-week training program exploring Change and the Unchangeable, using the Process Work approach.

Psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, facilitation and other helping professions are a lot about change. Sometimes change is quick, but more often it’s not, and not everything can or should change.

Change and the Unchangeable processes manifest in many different ways in groups and individuals. In this four-week block, we explore some of the different doorways into these processes and how to work with them.

All workshops run Mondays from 10am-12pm (Melbourne time) and will be held online via ZOOM. The fee for the four-week series is $160, or you can attend individual sessions for $50 each.

CHARACTER & TEMPERAMENT

 MONDAY, 2ND NOV, 10AM – 12 NOON (AEDT)

“That’s just who they are.”

This phrase is often used to end a discussion, claiming there is no room for change. Indeed for some professionals, a character is recognised as the firmest part of the personality and cannot be changed. Others question if the character exists at all.

Join us for a journey with the theories and practices of character and temperament types, from ancient to present times, exploring the topic from the experiential process oriented psychology perspective.

DEPRESSION

MONDAY, 9TH NOV, 10AM – 12 NOON (AEDT)

Depression and depressive states are meaningful experiences, often trying to direct our attention to deep change processes.

In this workshop, we will explore and practice how depression or depressive states go along the process of change and practice unfolding depressive tendencies to discover their meaning for the shifting ground of personal experience or/and the world.

RESILIENCE
MONDAY, 16TH NOV, 10AM – 12 NOON (AEDT)

As a process workers, we know that resilience comes from following your process.

But what does this mean in practice?

In this workshop, we will explore the concept of resilience through a Process Work lens and learn what to do when you or your client need more resilience.

DEATH & CREATIVTY
MONDAY, 23RD NOV, 10AM – 12NOON (AEDT)

During one of his most recent workshops, Arnold Mindell, the founder of process oriented psychology, called us to die every day, acknowledging the immense creativity freed in moments when our personal identity fades.

Death is both scary and an ally that helps to bring experiences we need now. It is present in many change processes and for those yearning for more creativity in their lives.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how to work with death as an ally for change with yourself and others.
